Rehabilitation Consultant - Occupational Therapist
An industry-leading national occupational rehabilitation provider is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join a tight-knit, high-performing team in Morwell, Victoria. This role operates within a private corporate health setting as part of a global healthcare network, providing essential supports to individuals living with illness, injury, or disability. The organization is offering this position on either a full-time or part-time basis (four days per week), with a hybrid working model that ensures a genuine work-life balance. Successful candidates can expect to commence in May 2026, joining a multidisciplinary group of professionals known for their warmth, collaboration, and grounded connection to the local community.
The successful applicant will engage in a diverse range of clinical and case management duties designed to help clients achieve return-to-health and return-to-work outcomes. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive activities of daily living (ADL) assessments, making recommendations for home modifications or specialized equipment, and preparing high-quality clinical reports. The consultant will liaise with medical professionals, employers, and insurers across various schemes, including Workers Compensation, Comcare, and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. To ensure the workload remains manageable, consultants are supported by Rehabilitation Assistants who handle administrative tasks, allowing the therapist to focus on innovative problem-solving and meaningful client connection.
Remuneration is highly competitive and includes innovative incentive and bonus schemes, alongside monetary rewards for employee referrals. The benefits package is extensive, featuring access to the Fitness Passport program, salary packaging, novated leasing, and discounted health insurance. Employees also benefit from travel perks, parental and purchased leave, and a comprehensive onboarding program. The organization places a high value on its people, fostering a "promote from within" culture and providing access to a robust health and wellness program with monthly team activities. Additionally, staff members have the opportunity to join various Diversity and Inclusion committees, such as the Pride Group and Reconciliation Action Plan committee.
Candidates for this position must hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and be registered with AHPRA, or be eligible to obtain registration. This provider welcomes new graduates with open arms, offering excellent on-the-job training and professional development support. Requirements include strong communication skills, effective time management, and a passion for the health benefits associated with returning to work. A current driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are essential. This is an ideal opportunity for a compassionate professional looking to build a career in a supportive environment where bold ideas and big hearts drive every decision.
