Senior Occupational Therapist

The Role

An exciting opportunity is currently available, we are looking for a dynamic, passionate about working and interacting with clients regarding NDIS to work Permanent Full-time as a Senior Occupational Therapist with one of our Partnered associate in Melbourne.


About you

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to assess the equipment needs of clients in relation to daily activities including, sleeping, sitting, safe transport and personal care. Assess the needs for modifications to home and other environments accessed by people with a developmental, intellectual or physical disability. Demonstrates the ability to prescribe adaptive equipment and assistive devices to facilitate and enhance occupational performance.


What we will require from you:

  • B. Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) / B. Occupational Therapy / Masters of Occupational Therapy
  • Current AHPRA Registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience in delivering services under NDIS and experience in leading others and/or as a Clinical Specialist
  • Current National Police Check
  • Current Working with Children's Check
  • Completed NDIS Module
  • Drivers Licence and Full access to a vehicle


The Duties

  • Collaborating with participants' multidisciplinary team including educators
  • Assessing, providing feedback and producing quality reports in the areas of fine and gross motor skills, activities of daily living, social/play skills, handwriting, sensory processing etc.
  • Writing NDIS review reports
  • Providing evidence based practice to clients
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate Occupational Therapy services to customers and NDIS participants, which build on family / client strengths, needs and priorities.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and ability to provide services and supports within the parameters of the funding available
  • Participate in regular professional development opportunities to keep up with current development.
  • Ensure that positive and productive relationships exist between Enhancing Ability, the local community and families.
  • Fulfill administrative requirements such as data collection and record keeping.
