Role Description

 

Apollo Therapy is seeking a dedicated and motivated Speech Pathologist to join our growing team in a mobile contractor position.

 

The successful candidate will provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based intervention for individuals experiencing speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with participants, families, caregivers, and other allied health professionals to develop tailored therapy plans and support meaningful outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

* Conduct comprehensive speech pathology assessments and develop individualised therapy plans.

* Diagnose and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders.

* Deliver therapy services across a variety of settings, including homes, schools, community environments, and telehealth where appropriate.

* Provide education, training, and support to families, caregivers, and support teams.

* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports in accordance with NDIS requirements.

* Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic participant care.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

 

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology.

* Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia (or eligibility to obtain registration).

* Strong knowledge of communication, language, speech, and swallowing disorders.

* Experience assessing and managing dysphagia.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaborative relationships within a multidisciplinary team.

* Experience working with NDIS participants and a sound understanding of the NDIS framework.

* Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

* Current Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
