Description

Our wonderful speech team is excited to be expanding due to the increasing demand for our services and programs. If you are an energetic, fun loving, client-centered paediatric speech pathologist then we have the perfect job for you. We have a number of positions available with immediate start. Various locations including Salisbury, Dulwich, Colonel Light Gardens and Henley Beach. We are eager to hear from both experienced speech pathologists and from dynamic new graduates.

About Us

We are a fast-growing multidisciplinary team offering family centred care to support infants, children, and adults with communication and/or learning difficulties. Our clinician's (audiologists, speech pathologists and psychologists) are respected, experts in their fields, who pride themselves on following best practice principles and going that extra mile to support their clients and families.

Our clinicians are well supported, work collaboratively and regularly participate in professional development activities (internally and externally).

About the Role

As an integral member of our team you would assess speech, language, phonological awareness, along with spelling and reading skills. You will have excellent documentation skills, writing up your reports promptly in a succinct and parent friendly manner. You will be innovative in your approach to therapy, actively engaging children, and their families, to ensure best outcomes.

Collaboratively with your team members, you will be involved in individual and small group therapy to a caseload of mainly school-aged children with reading, spelling and/or auditory processing difficulties. Our early literacy programs have shown significant improvements not just in children’s literacy skills, but also with their social development. This is of great importance given many of our valued clients have other developmental presentations (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Language Disorder, Auditory Processing Disorder, speech, memory and/or attention difficulties).

Our early intervention program for children with hearing loss provides further development opportunities for interested speech pathologists to work within this field. Our Speech Pathologists, Audiologists and Psychologists have a wealth of knowledge to share.

Therapy is often provided across a range of settings to facilitate transferal of skills (home, educational setting and within the clinic). Therefore, some travel may be required. As indicated above, our team visits several sites throughout the week (northern, eastern, and western communities in Adelaide). Travel is shared between clinicians. Our head office is located in Colonel Light Gardens. A current driver’s license and car is required.

Hours of work are flexible with full and part-time positions available.

Excited to Join Our Team?

Please note we only want to speak with people who are genuinely excited about this opportunity, who enjoy working in a happy, busy team environment and who want to leave work each day feeling like they have made real a difference in the lives of others.
