Allied Health 2U is currently seeking a Speech Therapist to join their team as a part -time/full time employee. You will be part of a rapidly growing team consisting of multiple disciplines (Counsellors, Psychotherapists, OT's, Psychologists, Podiatrists, Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists and other Speech Therapists) that are passionate and dedicated to bettering the lives of others. Our 4 x 4 rule for new graduates:

- For new graduates we only expect you to see four clients per day four days per week leaving ample time for professional development activities, independent learning activities and supervised learning activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

As an Speech Therapist, you will:

-Conduct client assessments and ongoing therapy
- Have a FOUR day week. That's right, for full time staff we only expect you to see clients between Monday to Thursday!! 
-Be involved in the treatment and management of general and complex conditions
-Be able to solve both clinical and non-clinical problems in day to day work
-Flexible and be able to work across various settings such as community or clinic
-Be prepared to complete professional development activities and apply to various clinical situations
-Confident with clinical reasoning skills across a variety of conditions
-Be involved in liaising with multiple stakeholders regarding patient care
-Liaise with other Allied Health 2U team members regarding patient management

-Work within client's home, school and childcare environments as well as our clinic setting

Requirements

Key Requirements:

To be successful in the role of an Speech Therapist, you will:

-Demonstrate a passion for continuing to learn and grow in both clinical and non-clinical perspectives.
-Demonstrate a willingness to progress your career from a clinical perspective if required.
-Strong written communication skills
-Be able to work independently
-Be confident in your role while being open to feedback
-Have current SPAA registration
-Have a current driver's license and your own car
-Have current Professional Indemnity Insurance, Working With Children Check and a National Criminal Record Check
