The Autism Super Centre is looking for an experienced and exceptional Speech Therapist on a full-time basis to join our team our team at Warwick, 4370. (Please note that we are happy to also consider new graduates)

Here at the ASC we are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and passionate speech therapist to join our team in an attractive and exciting full-time position.

You will share our dream and seek to expand your career with the opportunity to work in a ground-breaking new Autism Super Centre (ASC) based in Warwick Queensland, with ongoing opportunities for regular professional development. The centre was established due to the ongoing need for therapy services in the Warwick and surrounding areas for children with a disability and/or developmental delay.

Role and Responsibility

Paediatric caseload (ranging from 2-18 years) with a range of speech, language and other communication disorders
Caseload ranges from cognitively and neurologically typical children to children on the spectrum with a range of cognitive, neurological, and developmental delays and disorders
The successful candidate will provide evidenced based assessment, therapy, and case management to their caseload
The successful candidate will work within a dynamic growing team of allied health and non-allied health professionals, dedicated to providing the best outcomes for individuals with developmental delay and/or disabilities.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Qualifications

A qualification in Speech Pathology and a Certified Practising Membership of Speech Pathology Australia
Experience in providing speech pathology assessment, intervention, case management and discharge planning of children on the spectrum aged 2-18 years.
Demonstrated experience with those on the spectrum or a keen interest.
Experience working with children with a range of social, emotional, developmental delays and/or disorders
The ability to work collaboratively with schools, staff and parents using a family centred and strengths-based approach to practice
A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and relationship capabilities, a history of building good repour with clients and proficient computer skills
The capacity to deliver services to diverse clients and consider the family's cultural, ethnic, racial, language and socioeconomic characteristics
