•  Receive generous remuneration, including professional development allowance, laptop and a CAR?

We are seeking a full-time therapist, however, we will consider part-time with at least 3 days (or 24 hours) availability per week.

If this sounds appealing, then we would like to hear from you.

About Us:

Compass Allied Health is a mobile and in-clinic service based in the rural NSW town of Tamworth. Currently, the team consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists and speech pathologists. All of whom have a diverse range of skills and interests, particularly in the areas of hand, musculoskeletal, neurological and paediatric therapy.

Compass prides itself on providing high quality, evidence-based practice to manage the varied needs of the community. Caseloads are very diverse, with a mixture of Private, NDIS, Lifetime Care, Workers Comp/CTP and My Aged Care clients.

Considerable thought has been put into establishing systems that streamline the necessary communication and admin compliance that comes with working across these various schemes. Our aim is to have clinician’s time and energy focused on improving their patient’s outcomes and never feeling overwhelmed by paperwork.

We strive for continual improvement, innovation, sustainable practice and clinical excellence. Therefore, we allocate time and resources to professional development, regular team meetings, in-service education, and social events. We are a locally run business that is growing  rapidly, and making a meaningful impact by improving our community's quality of life.

About The Role:

As the speech pathologist you will be required to assess, diagnose and treat communication disorders, including difficulties with speaking, listening, understanding language, reading, writing, social skills, stuttering and using voice. You will work with people who have difficulty communicating because of developmental delays, stroke, brain injuries, learning disability, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, dementia and hearing loss, as well as other problems that can affect speech and language. Additionally, you will support people who experience difficulties swallowing food and drink safely and managing their secretions. You will be required to work independently and also as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure positive client outcomes.

Being a mobile service, you will be required to travel to client’s homes and local businesses around Tamworth and its surrounds. Due to the extra time that is allocated for travel and admin, you would typically be seeing four to seven patients on a regular work day. You have the freedom to inform admin as to the structure of your schedule and work hours, in alignment with the business’ goals.

The caseload will be a mixture of NDIS and Lifetime Care clients. The majority of the caseload can be tailored to fit your skills and interests, however, a therapist who is confident in managing the needs of neurological or paediatric clients would be most desirable at this point in time.

A two week paid on-boarding/ training process will be provided, wherein you will spend time with the practice manager learning the business' software and systems, and attend joint appointments with our speech pathologists.

Key Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Speech Pathology

• Current Certified Practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia

• Working with children check

• Satisfactory Police Check

• Valid first aid and CPR certificate

• Indemnity Insurance

• Current Drivers Licence

Salary: $75,000 - $120,000 (Super inclusive)

Work Type: Full Time OR Part Time
