Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Dental Assistant with 1–2 years of experience and Australian citizenship or permanent residency. This casual role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys working across day surgery and routine dental practice environments, and is keen to expand clinical skills through on-the-job training. You will work closely with dentists and the broader clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow and a high standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to meet infection control and safety standards.
• Assist dentists during procedures, including handing instruments, suctioning, and chair-side support.
• Manage patient comfort and communication before, during, and after treatment.
• Take and process digital radiographs as required, maintaining accurate records.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Support day surgery workflows, including patient preparation and post-procedure monitoring under supervision.
• Uphold strict clinical governance, record-keeping, and compliance with workplace safety protocols.

Candidate Requirements

• 1–2 years’ dental assisting experience preferably in a mixed practice or day surgery environment.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident.
