Salaried role - General Practitioner - Indigenous Service - NT - Accomodation
Position Summary
A full time Vacancy exists for a Rural Medical Practitioner in a remote community 520km east of Darwin.
You will be responsible for the provisions of primary medical services to the community and surrounding outstations.
Clinical responsibilities include:
- Provide primary medical services
- Provide public health services using a community development model to enhance health outcomes, improve services and infrastructure
- Provide an holistic approach to health care that includes care planning and case conferencing with patients who have a chronic disease
- Be responsible for the coordination of medical retrieval and patient travel services, which includes tasking Care flight aircraft and crew
- Participate in the collection and maintenance of communicare computerised client health information including Medicare billing
- Ensure that Medicare billing is optimised to its full potential to realise maximum return to the community for service development
- Work collaboratively with a range of health providers within the organization and external to the organization
- Undertake programs and tasks appropriate to family and preventative medicine and Primary Health Care within a community and health education context
- Be opportunistic in the development of health care plans for patients
- Be proactive in health promotion so that it will enhance community education and understanding of particular health issue’s

Essential Criteria
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Vocational Registration (FRACGP | FACRRM | FRNZCGP)
- Full Australian Work Rights
- General Practice experience in Australia
- Passion and commitment to providing a high level of care to patients
