This activity aims to inform GPs of the lifestyle intervention options that can be used to effectively treat weight in overweight and obese patients.

Relevance to General Practice

GPs have a vital role in identifying and treating overweight and obesity in the community in an individualised approach. A multidisciplinary approach may be appropriate for some patients including lifestyle interventions and the use of dietitians and exercise physiologists.
