127790 - Influenza in older adults >65 years

  • : Online

A 30-minute online activity to highlight the importance of influenza vaccination in adults 65 years and older.

Relevance to General Practice

GPs can play an important role increasing vaccination rates, as a recommendation to vaccinate is highly associated with uptake. Older individuals commonly visit their GP before influenza season, so GPs are ideally placed to discuss the benefits of vaccination. Benefits include preventing infection and severe complications from influenza and restricting the spread of the virus in the community and to vulnerable populations.
