Relevance to General Practice

Over the past two decades our understanding of the pathophysiology and health consequences of obesity have increased exponentially. Obesity, now recognised by many international professional health organisations as a chronic disease, is best managed using a chronic disease model of care.

This presentation will cover what is changing in functional gut disorder in infants, the increases in problems GPs are facing in this area, and will address commonly asked questions. This presentation will also cover the management and assessment of GOR and constipation and the role probiotics play.

Low libido is the most commonly reported sexual complaint in women in clinical practice. A review of 11 reliable prevalence studies found a prevalence of an average of 64% of women with desire difficulties.
