To improve GPs’ knowledge on patient’s sexuality and gender support and establish a referral pathways to LGBTIQ focus community (clinical and non-clinical) support services and resources.

Relevance to General Practice

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals experience significant barriers to receiving equitable health care. They face both individual and system-level barriers in the health services system that may prevent them from receiving high-quality care and achieving the best possible health care outcomes. LGB individuals are documented to be signi?cantly more likely to delay or avoid necessary medical care com- pared with heterosexuals—29% versus 17%, respectively.
