Hot Topics GP Update is series of lectures delivered by GPs for GPs on the latest medical research in General Practice.

Relevance to General Practice

The aim of the GP update course is to provide GPs with an overview of the latest evidence in clinical practice for General Practice and to assist them to deliver better patient care. The course content includes a summary of the evidence published in peer reviewed journals, national guidelines and other reputable sources in the previous 12 months. This information is distilled into a one-day course designed to provide GP’s with the very latest must-have knowledge in an easily digestible format.

  • Recognise the areas of clinical practice that have new evidence that may impact on patient care in General Practice
  • Develop up-to-date professional knowledge on the most recent research and guidelines in primary care
  • Integrate the latest evidence on a range of clinical topics into diagnosis and management techniques applicable to GP practice
