A comprehensive overview of X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, and MRI imaging interpretation of commonly encountered disease in the critical care setting.
The course covers imaging of the head, chest and abdomen/pelvis in 5 modules. Each module is composed of a didactic lecture followed by an interactive session where delegates review quizzes and PACS cases with X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT and MRI to consolidate fundamental principles of imaging interpretation.
Medical imaging is becoming increasingly utilised throughout all areas of medicine including general practice and imaging technology is becoming more and more complex. Keeping up to date with these advances can be difficult for doctors in a busy practice. Increasingly, GP’s are expected to make management decisions based on these medical imaging findings. Knowledge of fundamental image interpretation principles can assist to guide this process. Improving understanding of radiation hygiene and appropriate imaging modality selection will result in improved patient care.Learning outcomes
