Overview

Gynaecological cancer is the 3rd most common cancer affecting Australian women, with medical & surgical treatments impacting on general physical activity & pelvic floor health. This lecture gives a comprehensive overview of current research evidence in this field and is relevant for physiotherapists working with women undergoing treatment for gynaecological cancer.

Presenter

Robyn Brennen is a physiotherapist and midwife with over 12 years experience in continence work. She has worked in public health services in SA, Victoria and in UN supported refugee service 'Refugee Health' in Egypt. She has recently commenced her PhD in 'Pelvic floor dysfunction after gynaecological cancer', under the supervision of Associate Professor Helena Frawley and Dr Kuan-Yin Lin at Monash University.
