HIV PrEP webinar

This webinar will provide an update on strategies available to prevent HIV transmission, focusing on PrEP. Including how to screen for PrEP suitability, clinical assessment, monitoring patients on PrEP, and how to safely prescribe and stop PrEP. A short summary will be given on the recently updated PrEP guidelines.
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) play a key role in preventing HIV transmission and can now be prescribed in primary care by GPs and authorised nurse practitioners. A/Prof Darren Russell will present on strategies available to prevent HIV transmission and will cover the following topics:
- Identify people at risk for HIV
- Clinical assessment for PrEP
- Different dosing options for PrEP
- Monitoring patients on PrEP
- How to safely prescribe, stop and restart PrEP
In addition, a summary will be given on the recently updated PrEP guidelines.
