South Australian Work Health and Safety Legislation



This course has been developed to provide the learner with an introduction to work health and safety legislation, as well as some of the key requirements of WHS legislation.
Target Audience
All managers and supervisors of staff that are required to apply of the model Work Health and Safety Act 2012 (SA).
Learning Outcomes
This course provides an overview of the model Work Health and Safety Act 2012 (SA), regulations and code of practice. It looks at:
- key terms in the legislation
- the duties associated with particular roles in the workplace
- how the legislation is enforced, and
- strategies for managing health and safety in the workplace to help meet legislation requirements.
