Workshop participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the importance of clinical governance in wound management inclusive of scope of practice, policy, evidence-based practice, inter-professional practice and consumer engagement.
The workshop content includes:
• Clinical Governance in Wound Management
• Dressing Product Workshop
• Conservative Sharp Wound Debridement
• Wound Assessment
• Overview of Common Wound Types; including Diabetic Foot Ulcers, Skin Tears and Skin Ulcers

1. State four elements of clinical governance in wound management
2. List two dressing products to manage each of the wound characteristics

4. Demonstrate safe clinical skills in undertaking conservative sharp wound debridement techniques
5. List three aetiological factors that contribute to the development of the following chronic wounds: diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure injuries
