Position Description:

  • DWS

  • AGPAL accredited and teaching practice

  • RRMA5 – eligible for A1 Medicare rebate

  • Level 3 or 4 supervision

This small group practice seeks a full-time GP looking for a long-term commitment.

The practice can provide supervision and opportunities to become an associate will become available. Working in a small team with four VR doctors you will receive great support and assistance from highly experienced nursing and administration staff.

This is a well-established mixed-billing practice with a large, ageing patient base. With doctors often fully booked the earning potential is immediate.

VMO rights are available for Tatura Hospital and there is a requirement to service both residential and aged care patients.

On-call participation is not onerous with just one weeknight and 1:5 weekends required.

Essential Criteria

  • AHPRA Registration – general or vocational

  • Previous Australian experience essential (preferably in general practice)

  • Excellent spoken English communication skills required

  • Willingness to commit to long term position

 The Package

  • Eligible for RLRP

  • Initially 60% of billings – negotiable depending on experience

  • 90% billings for on-call and afterhours

Practice Details:

This clinic has been servicing the small country town of Tatura for over 50 years and prides itself on the longevity of doctors and staff at the practice.

The clinic has six consulting rooms and a treatment room where minor surgical procedures including ECG and spirometry are performed. There is on-site pathology and visiting allied health services include a podiatrist, a diabetic educator and a psychologist.

This AGPAL accredited, computerised practice is currently staffed by four doctors and supported by a full-time nurse and practice support staff.

Aged care is the main patient health issue that impacts on this small well-serviced country town.

The clinic is 1km from the local Tatura hospital which is part of Goulburn Valley Health
