About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive department to accomplish great things! Calvary Hospital is currently seeking a senior clinician to lead the provision of Occupational Therapy services within it Mental Health inpatient wards and to provide clinical leadership to the Occupational Therapy team’s professional development and clinical student placement program. The role is available on part time 18 month contract from January 2021 onwards, and provides a great opportunity to develop your clinical skills within an inpatient mental health setting at the same time as your clinical leadership skills in the context of staff and student development.
The Occupational Therapy department is committed to evidence based practice and there is a focus on continual professional development and involvement in research projects.
In addition to the above we offer fortnightly in-service learning program, many varied training opportunities to assist in the development of all staff and a 1:1 staff supervision program that provides support with competency development & career planning. You will be an enthusiastic senior occupational therapist looking to become part of a dynamic and high achieving team with the ability to:
· Communicate effectively within the department and across multidisciplinary teams.
· An understanding of the philosophical direction of the organisation and the ability to apply it in the delivery of health care services.
· You will also bring your highly developed clinical occupational therapy skills in a mental health inpatient setting, that are reflective of a holistic and evidence based approach in the delivery.
