Liverpool Hospital is recruiting for a Physiotherapist to complement and enhance the Intensive Care Unit.
Liverpool Hospital is an acute tertiary trauma hospital in Sydney South West, the fastest growing area in NSW. We focus on delivering high quality patient care, education and training to staff and students, evidenced based practice and effective multidisciplinary team work. This position provides ICU Physiotherapy and supervision of Level 1/2 Physiotherapy staff across Wednesday to Sunday as part of a 7 day service.

What you'll be doing
The Senior Intensive Care Physiotherapist is responsible for providing a high quality Physiotherapy service in the Intensive Care Unit at Liverpool Hospital as part of a 7 day service which includes weekends. This includes service coordination, evaluation and development and use of advanced reasoning and practice skills in critical patients with cardio-respiratory, trauma, orthopaedic and neurological impairments. This position is also responsible for the supervision, teaching and training of rotational Level 1/2 Physiotherapists and weekend staff.

Current Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Relevant clinical experience including demonstrated advanced practice skills and management of a complex physiotherapy caseload.
Demonstrated experience in supervision and teaching of staff and/or students.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and evidence based practice.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality improvement, research and service development activities.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated extensive level of Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy skills and experience, including Intensive Care, Cardiothoracic surgery, Orthopaedics/trauma and Neurological/spinal injury.
