  • We see children 0-18 years old with disabilities and developmental delays, primarily under NDIS funding.
  • We provide regular therapy during the school term and run intensive therapy programs over each school holidays.
  • We have a clinic based in Browns Plains (don't let the suburb scare you - our clinic is beautiful and the kids, families and therapists all love it!).
  • We also provide mobile therapy services for South Brisbane and Logan areas.
  • We have a Therapy Dog named Ziggy who attends the clinic regularly for therapy with the kids.

  • Assess and treat children with a variety of needs, using evidence based practice and up to date research.
  • Manage a clinical caseload independently with high standard of clinic practice.
  • In consultation with clients and their families/carers, plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate individual and holistic therapy services, as per needs identified throughout the assessment process.
  • In consultation with clients and their families/carers, identify SMART goals using person-centred principles.
  • Provide appropriate support and management strategies to clients, parents, guardians and teachers about all Physiotherapy needs for the child.
  • Provide both individual and group therapy intervention programs as suitable, to achieve maximum independence and participation in activities.
  • Adjust communication pattern to the age and level of understanding of the child. This may include non-verbal communication such as key word sign.
  • Attend meetings when required to provide specialist advice for functional needs of the child.
  • Ensure a safe environment for the client and family/caregivers at all times.
  • Work closely with doctors, family members/guardians and teachers of the child by keeping them updated on the child’s progress.
  • Partake in a multidisciplinary team and joint therapy sessions where applicable and suitable.
  • Assess the child for adaptations and use of specialist equipment when necessary.
  • Organise and attend equipment assessment and prescription appointments with equipment suppliers and child/family/guardians.
  • Set realistic timeframes with client/family/guardians regarding therapy sessions, equipment prescription and reports to be completed.
  • Compile and provide comprehensive reports and intervention plans and programs
  • Create and complete all client reports and assessments as required, within timeframes specified to client/family/guardian.
  • Complete therapy sessions both within clinic and in the community, as appropriate for each client.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate, up to date client records in accordance with professional standards, Mighty Kids Therapy policy and procedures and other relevant legislation including the Disability Act.
  • If the primary service provider at Mighty Kids Therapy, complete all intake documentation with client and family prior to starting therapy sessions.
  • If the primary service provider, coordinate the provision of services internally to client and families and liaise with external service providers to achieve desired outcomes for clients.
  • Report any concerns or difficulties to manager.
  • Identify, develop and review information and resources within OT/SP/PT discipline.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate group therapy programs, with assistance from Director if required.
  • Partake in regular professional development, including keeping up to date with new research and maintaining skills & knowledge level.
  • Provide mentoring, supervision &/or professional development to peers at Mighty Kids Therapy as suitable.
  • Participate in weekly, fortnightly or monthly supervision (frequency dependent on clinical experience).
  • Assist with maintaining a high standard of safety at Mighty Kids Therapy by following all safety procedures at all times and acting safely, not putting yourself or other people at risk by your actions or omissions. Ensure that all work performed is in accordance with Mighty kids Therapy policies and procedures.





  • Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy as recognised by the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • First Aid + CPR (currently obtain or willing to obtain)
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Driver’s licence + own vehicle
  • Previous experience providing Physiotherapy services to children under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is highly regarded
  • Passionate about working with children, with a friendly and positive attitude
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and independently as required
  • Able to establish and build positive working relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and passionate to learn
