Full Time Principal Psychologist required to manage large, established private practice with two locations in Canberra.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a dynamic, highly skilled team dedicated to achieving excellence. This role is about Leadership, Team Management, Business Development and Business Management. The successful applicant will also provide a high level of clinical services three days per week.
Salary package $120,000 to $140,000, including superannuation and a generous CPD allowance.

Having opened in 2007, Northside Psychology is a large, well-established private psychology practice in strong demand with clinics in Hawker, Gungahlin and a small outpost in Adelaide. We comprise a stable and cohesive team of excellent clinicians, ably supported by a strong and dedicated administrative team. Currently we have 13 clinicians, 5 permanent Administrative Officers and a pool of casual administrative staff.

The successful applicant will be responsible for business management and the ongoing development of a large well established practice.
The Principal Psychologist’s primary duties and responsibilities will be:
? Leadership and team management
? The day-to-day business, administrative, financial and human resource management of the practice
? Strategic business development
? Providing excellent service and clinical practice
? Planning, development and implementation of policies and procedures
? Creating, implementing and managing an annual Business Development and Marketing Plan
? Establishing and nurturing relationships with strategic partners
? Identifying and developing new services, products and business opportunities
? The general support and management of all team members, including providing clinical supervision and peer supervision activities
? Developing opportunities for education and training activities within Northside Psychology
? Recruitment, selection, orientation, induction and ongoing support of team members, including recently graduated staff
? Developing relationships with universities and post graduate psychology programs
? Performance management, as well as overseeing and managing career progression pathways
? Overseeing the high level of services for our referrers and clients
? Actively initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement processes
? Providing an advanced level of clinical services, including clinical assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based intervention services
The ideal person
Our ideal person is an experienced and confident practitioner who relishes the idea of managing a private psychology business and leading a high functioning and dedicated team, with the primary focus of excellence.
? Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHRPA).
? Registration as a Board Approved Supervisor, able to provide both primary and secondary supervision to provisional psychologists is highly desirable.
? Clinical Endorsement or Educational and Developmental Endorsement supervisor status is highly desirable.
? Demonstrated Leadership and Team Management skills
? Demonstrated experience in building, growing, managing and leading teams
? Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, written and interpersonal skills
? Ability to build strong relationships, effectively communicate, support and educate others
? Demonstrated ability to provide support/supervision to peers, other personnel and students
? Business management skills
? Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate service improvements
? Skills in developing and implementing systems, Policies and Procedures
? Financial management skills
? Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
? Proactive and highly self-motivated
