Smart Moves Healthcare, an SA based dedicated mobile allied health provider has opportunities for a Senior Occupational Therapists to join their growing team.

 

Working alongside our directors (Senior Physiotherapist and Medical Doctor), you will manage your own clinical caseload as well as provide support and supervision to team of Occupational Therapist's and incoming new graduates.

 

Our multidisciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology and Allied Health Assistants will provide the opportunity to work with other disciplines in a multidisciplinary team setting to provide the best therapy and support.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide a person-centred clinical approach to support for our clients through a range of assessments, intervention, assistive technology prescription, ongoing capacity building therapy, home modification, report writing and case management.
  • Plan for our clients to maximise their level of function, capacity, social engagement, housing suitability, and ongoing contribution to their community.

 

Supervision and Mentoring

  • Contribute to professional supervision and support to the Occupational Therapy team.
  • Providing Senior Occupational Therapist skills and evaluating best practice within an inter-disciplinary team
  • Reduced caseload to enable time for mentoring and leadership.
  • Maintaining high level clinical standards and assisting junior therapists to consolidate clinical skills

About you:

  • 3+ years post-graduate clinical experience
  • A sound understanding of the principles of NDIS and the National Disability Services Standards.
  • A passion for your work and a desire to make a difference
  • Transferable leadership skills or experience supporting other clinicians
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • AHPRA registration
  • Fantastic organisational and time management skills
  • Valid Police check
  • WWCC and NDIS Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
