On or about 28 September 2023 a “Shared Post” titled “Paper trail reveals how NDIS charity came to owe vanished businessman John Margerison tens of millions of dollars” was posted on the HealthcareLink News website, which included a hyperlink to a Guardian article by the same name.
The post and the hyperlinked article contained numerous imputations concerning Mr Margerison, his character and the nature of his business interests.
HealthcareLink does not know whether those imputations are true or false and therefore HealthcareLink decided that it was prudent to remove the post from its website.
HealthcareLink withdraws the suggestions made in the post. If the imputations within the publications are untrue, HealthcareLink unreservedly apologises to Mr Margerison for the hurt and distress that the post (and continued publication of The Guardian article by it) has caused to him.
