The FSP (Fellowship Support Program) is a self-funded program that runs for 24 months, divided into four terms. There are two intakes per year, with the second intake opening on Monday 13 February 2023 and closing on Thursday 9 March 2023 at 11:59 PM AEDT.
A change in the next in take to note would be that the CAAKT (Competent Authority Assessed Knowledge and Skills Test) is no longer a factor for admission to the FSP. The first intake for the program commenced on 23 January 2023.
To be eligible for the FSP (Fellowship Support Program), applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Australian or New Zealand Citizenship, or hold Temporary or Permanent residency status.
- Hold registration under the general, provisional (with supervision level 2 or above through the Competent Authority Pathway or with an AMC Certificate through the Standard Pathway), or limited (with supervision level 2 or above) categories.
- Must be employed or have a job offer in comprehensive general practice in an MMM 2-7 location at the time of application.
- Must work in a training location that complies with the General Practice Fellowship Program Placement Guidelines if a Provider Number under the FSP is required.
- Have a minimum of one exam semester remaining to complete all Fellowship examinations, as per the Fellowship Exam Attempts Policy.
- Submit a new application for each intake they apply for. Previous incomplete applications cannot be carried over to the next intake.
