  • Recognise patients with hematological problems
  • State the physiology of hematological problems
  • Discuss the pathology of important hematology disorders
  • Recognise how hematological problems may need addressing before dental treatment.

Dental practitioners need to be aware of the impact that blood disorders will have upon their daily practice. More and more patients are diagnosed with disorders of the blood and receive their care in the primary care.
