About AMA Queensland
The Australian Medical Association Queensland is the state's peak medical representative body and represents more than 9,630 Queensland doctors and medical students. Nationally, the Australian Medical Association represents over 31,000 doctors, including residents and registrars, public and private specialists, and general practitioners.
AMA Queensland is here to assist members through the secretariat who specialise in workplace relations, media and public relations, lobbying campaigns and policy development for the betterment of the medical profession.
AMA Queensland also actively campaigns for the rights of patients, better services in the public system, guaranteed freedom of choice in the private system and the right to access high quality medical services.
AMA Queensland’s Health Vision is based on the principles of trust, knowledge and compassion. We aim to work with doctors and all levels of government to improve the efficiency, transparency and accountability of the Queensland health system.

DHQ continues to champion the importance of supporting doctors’ health by engaging with key stakeholders in Queensland to identify innovative solutions across the spectrum of health service organisations.
