The Australian Medical Association Queensland is the state's peak medical body and represents Queensland doctors, including residents and registrars, public and private specialists, general practitioners and medical students.

We are proud to be leading Queensland doctors throughout every stage of their career and creating better health outcomes for our community and profession.

We assist members through the secretariat who specialise in workplace relations, media and public relations, lobbying campaigns and policy development for the betterment of the medical profession.

We also actively campaigns for the rights of patients, better services in the public system, guaranteed freedom of choice in the private system and the right to access high quality medical services.

AMA Queensland’s 11-Point Action Plan outlines the pathway to better health for Queenslanders. We aim to work with doctors and all levels of government to improve the efficiency, transparency and accountability of the Queensland health system.
