Everyone has thoughts and feelings they want to express.
For some people it is harder than others. This may be due to underlying speech and language difficulties, motor planning difficulties, hearing or vision impairment, physical disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Downs Syndrome or intellectual disability. Rainbow Speech Pathology is a clinic based service in shop 4-6/ 16 Brighton road Sandgate down the Sandgate Arcade.

We're just a short walk from Sandgate train station and the Town Hall. We understand that people communicate best in places where they are most comfortable.

We can visit clients at home, school and kindergarten within a 10km radius of Sandgate. Travel charges do apply to mobile visits see our costs page for more information.

We also offer telehealth services via Zoom and Microsoft teams to any location.

Rainbow Speech Pathology values:
Wellbeing- our number one priority is the wellbeing of our staff and clients. We need a team who are healthy mentally and physically to do their jobs well. Rainbow speech is a safe place to work and for our clients to attend.

Flexible- We're a flexible workplace that has a variety of options for work hours that suit your lifestyle because family comes first. We work with families where they are at and follow their lead. Parents are the experts of their own children. We listen to their concerns and are flexible, understanding and non-judgemental.

Team work- we are a close nit small team. We help each other out. If someone has too much on, needs to debrief or there's dishes in the sink and you have time- we pitch in and help each other. Equally we ask for help when we need it and take responsibility for our own jobs.

Open Communication- we are kind, respectful and clear in all our communication with each other, other professionals and with clients. We respect confidentiality and privacy of our team and clients. We also expect respectful communication from our clients and will not tolerate abuse. Our ultimate communication goal for all clients is to be able to autonomously say what they want when they want to say it how they want to and be understood by others.

Quality- We do a quality job in all that we do. This may mean it takes longer to get a report written and checked but it is a good report. We also do what is within our scope, experience and role to ensure a quality job is done. If we make a mistake we own up to it and do our best to fix it.

Value time- We value our time and that of our clients. We work efficiently but thoroughly to complete all our work in a timely manner. We also charge for our time and are up front in our communication.
