The Hobart Heart centre is the oldest and largest specialist cardiology practice in Hobart. We consist of eight specialist cardiologists covering all aspects of cardiological care.

We are conveniently located within the Hobart Private Hospital, next door to the Royal Hobart Hospital. Emergency facilities (including coronary care unit and angiography laboratory) no more than 60 seconds away.

We are available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year via the Hobart Private Hospital. Unlike other hospitals, if you are admitted with heart disease, you will be looked after by a heart specialist.

We pride ourselves on providing the highest possible standard of medical care based on the best available evidence. All of our specialist regularly attend Australian and international meetings to ensure that they stay at the cutting edge. We have close links to academic institutions on the mainland. We participate in the education of medical student from the University of Tasmania.

We use state of the art imaging including the world’s most advanced 3D echocardiography system and have access to Hobart’s fastest CT scanner (which is based in this hospital).
