Marketown Health is a high standard modern medical practice and health care provider for life work and travel. Marketown Health commenced operations at Marketown Shopping Centre in January 2017.
The business previously operated as King St Group Practice (KSGP) which provided medical services in Newcastle for over 30 years.
Marketown Health prides itself on professionalism and a positive clinical environment, supporting its core values of “Health for Life, Health for Work, and Health for Travel”.
We are an accredited practice wtih fully computerised patient records and is transitioning to the Best Practice practice software.
The practice is largely a non-bulk billing practice and many of our patients are longstanding. However, bulk billing is at the discretion of the practitioner.
We are only minutes from excellent schools, beautiful beaches, the harbour, lake and only a short drive to Hunter Valley vineyards. We are located on major bus routes, walking distance to trains and have car parking on site.
Marketown Health has been operating in Newcastle for over 40 years. Formerly KSGP, we changed our brand in 2017 and relocated to modern facilities in Marketown East Shopping Centre.
We have terrific group of people working with us. Our team consists of 10 doctors and 5 registered nurses supported by a strong administrative team. A podiatrist, dietician, clinical psychologist and Laverty pathology provide onsite support.
We are a teaching practice dedicated to maintaining a high standard of care for our patients. We encourage our doctors to pursue their own interests within the breadth of general practice.
Our doctors work flexible hours to suit their lifestyle and offer a wide range of general practice services including travel medicine, spirometry, audiometry and home visits. We offer commercial medicine services to a range of corporate clients.
