This public hospital with 179-beds, has been serving the residents of Adelaide for almost 30 years. Management of the hospital is unique in South Australia, in that it is a public hospital managed by a private company, which has a contract with the South Australian Government. A $2 million upgrade is nearing completion at the Hospital.
The hospital offers a wide range of healthcare services for people of all ages. This includes inpatient and outpatient services with an increasing focus on care beyond the hospital.
You will work in the Emergency Department reporting directly and working with the Director of ED. You will also actively engage in the teaching of staff, both medical and nursing, including medical students, junior medical staff and specialist trainees.
You will work 16 shifts per 4 weeks at 9.5 hours per shift. 4 of these shifts are nightshifts which can be split to 2 nightshifts per fortnight if preferred. Nightshifts are from 22.30pm – 8.30am. Of the remaining shifts, half will be early (8am or 9am starts) and half are afternoon shifts (1pm or 2pm starts).
There is an after-hours and weekend roster in place.
