Currently a vacancy exists for a General Surgeon to join a private hospital based in a wider not-for-profit hospital and aged care group. You will join a collegiate group of specialists and have scope to develop your own special areas of interest. There is also the opportunity to develop a private practice on site where you will have full support from the hospital to establish yourself in the area and build a thriving business. To support you, they have 2 surgical interns within the hospital as well as a surgical registrar that rotates from the base hospital.
This well established and accredited hospital gives you the opportunity to work in a respected service that stands at the forefront of modern medicine and is committed to providing high quality healthcare. The facility itself comprises 105 beds with 4 operating theatres (soon to be 5), a day procedure room, coronary care and high dependency units, day oncology and 28 medical suites. Adjoining this is a standalone day hospital with 2 procedure rooms and consulting rooms. There are exciting plans for the expansion of the hospital in the near future to increase the capacity of the operating, day procedure and recovery room suites in 2016.
