The Role

We are seeking a passionate Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist and/or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker who has experience working with children and adolescents to join our fun, friendly and experienced team.

We have recently launched a specialised service for fussy and selective eating patterns and Avoidant / Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). This is an upcoming area of practice with very few specialist services available and a strong, consistent referral base.

The clinician will have the opportunity to work with young people across a range of different presentations and co-morbidities, with a predominant focus on fussy eating and ARFID. There will also be opportunity to work with young people engaging in early intervention and preventative work, psychotherapy and psychological interventions.

The clinician will be provided with professional development opportunities, supervision and support and flexible work conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the area of fussy eating and ARFID, with support and training whilst being part of a friendly and supportive team.

Remuneration & Location

Ivanhoe Clinic:

• Subcontracting position available, 1-2 days per week. Must be available to work on a Friday. Remuneration is based upon qualifications and type of client session, and ranges from approximately $125 - $183 per session.

Mornington Clinic:

• Subcontracting position available, 1-2 days per week. Flexible days. Remuneration is based upon qualifications and type of client session, and ranges from approximately $125 - $183 per session. OR;
• Permanent Part-Time position available, 2-4 days per week, with 2 days in Mornington and 1-2 days in Ivanhoe (Friday). Salary will be based upon experience and will be above award rates. Note, the permanent part time position is only available when working at least 2 days in Mornington. It is not available when working in the Ivanhoe location only.

Your Skills & Responsibilities (Required):

• Psychologists - Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist without restrictions;
• Accredited Mental Health Social Worker - recognised and accredited by AASW
• Medicare provider eligibility;
• Postgraduate qualifications;
• Professional indemnity insurance and Working with Children's Check;
• ABN and ability to provide own equipment (laptop computer);
• Experience working with children, adolescents and families
• Interest and enthusiasm for the eating disorder field with particular interest in fussy eating and ARFID presentations.
• A commitment to undertake training to in evidence based approaches, with our support and guidance;
• Values that align with the Health At Every Size framework and a therapeutic style that is trauma informed, inclusive and embraces diversity;
• A conscientious, motivated professional with highly developed written and verbal communication skills and stringent record keeping abilities;

Highly Regarded Skills and Experience (Desirable):

• Experience working in a CAMHS/CYMHS/ELMHS setting;
• Understanding of and experience working with neurodiversity, particularly ASD and ADHD.
• Experience treating eating disorders & body image concerns;
• Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC) status will be highly regarded;
• 5 years clinical experience post registration;
• Private practice experience and understanding of the Medicare referral pathways and billing arrangements.

Please note - this role is not suitable for provisional psychologists who are undertaking postgraduate studies and/or internship programs and are yet to obtain full registration with AHPRA.
