General Practice Nurse (Registered Nurse)

We are looking for a General Pactice Nurse (RN) to join our friendly team at Wallsend GP Clinic. Our practice is a well established, accredited clinic and we work in a warm and supportive environment.

As an RN your responsibilities will include:

• Performing health assessments
• Administering vaccines and post-vaccination monitoring
• Triaging patients
• Arranging care plans
• Patient health education
• Minor surgical procedures- wound dressings, suture removals etc.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are important in this role
• Strong time-management, multi-tasking and organisation skills to work in a fast-paced, busy practice
• Professional, well-presented and pleasant in the way they approach others
• Punctuality and reliability
• Works with honesty and integrity

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

DESIRABLE QUALIFACTIONS:

• Experience with Best Practice Clinical Software is preferable.
• Previous experience in a medical practice

JOB DETAILS:

We are able to offer a Part-time Permanent position and your salary can be negotiable ($35-45 per hour). If a casual position is what you prefer, we are willing to discuss this as well.

Our practice working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am- 6:00pm and we do not work on weekends.

Excellent renumeration, flexible and negotiable working hours, no weekend work and family-friendly working hours in a pleasant and supportive environment will be available to you.

Our team includes 2 experienced GPs and 2 receptionists. With our clinic being located in the heart of Wallsend, you will have easy and accessible resources around you including cafes, a shopping mall nearby, a pharmacy next door, pathology clinics in front and plenty of parking at the back car park. Complementary on-site and secure parking will be available to you at all times for free and right at the doors of our clinic.
