Practice Information:
This busy practice currently has two Principal GP's at the Practice, one fellowed doctor and one registrar. The practice has been established for 21 years and is well know in the area. We are a fully private practice with discount for Aged Pensioners. Sullivan and Nicholaides are on site and the local hospital and Allied Health in close proximity. The surgery has 3 treatment rooms for minor excisions, workplace medical, private and public vaccinations.
 
Our patients range from 0-111. We see a wide range of people from childhood sickness, women and men's health, chronic diseases, obstetrics, childhood vaccinations as well as preventative health. Or practice has nurse support and a Chronic Disease Co-ordinator/Dietitian to support doctors. An instant patient load would be available due to lack of GP's in the town.
 
The Practice is open:

• Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm
• Weekend clinics Saturday 8.00am - 11:30.

Roma is located at the junction of three of Australia's major roads - the Warrego Highway, the great Inland Way and the Carnarvon Development Road. Known as the Gateway to the Western Downs, it is situated approximately 4 hours west of Toowoomba. Day trips around the Western Downs will open up a region of diverse natural beauty and true country ambience. Roma is a welcoming country town with a host of activities and places of interest to explore including the Carnarvon Gorge and Mitchell springs on your week ends. With a population of 8500, Roma is a service centre for much of Western Queensland, particularly the beef cattle industry with the saleyards boasting the largest store cattle sales in Australia. The area is rich in history and filled with colourful stories from its pioneering past. You'll be happy to stay a while in this fascinating frontier town in Queensland's south west. Facilities also include several coffee shops, golf course, gun club, archery, heated pool, 2 gyms and much more.
 
Position Description:
Locum position is available each week from now until the end of the year, so the number of weeks a locum would like to stay is very flexible
