Nurse Practicioner

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our telehealth team, focusing on telehealth triage, including the evaluation of patient request forms and management of pathology requests. This role will have a vital part in our sexual health and cervical cancer screening initiatives, ensuring the continuity of care by facilitating referrals to General Practitioners when necessary. The candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive pre-screening assessments to ensure all pertinent information is available for consultations. Our remote server is equipped with state-of-the-art management software to aid in patient coordination, appointment scheduling, and e-prescription services. No real time contact with patient required. 

In the event of a positive test result from either cervical cancer screening or STI testing, patients will be presented with the choice to consult with a General Practitioner. During this consultation, it is expected that the GP will clarify the implications of the test findings and formulate a suitable medication and treatment strategy. This plan will then be executed by our cloud pharmacy, which will dispense the prescribed treatment.

Key Qualifications:

- Current AHPRA registration with a valid nurse practitioner license.

- Eligibility to obtain a Medicare prescriber and provider number.

- Must carry personal professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

- Proficiency in managing and uploading pathology request forms, along with interpreting results.

- At least one year of verified experience in a nurse practitioner role.

- Legal eligibility to work in Australia, supported by full working rights.

- Current Working with Children and police clearance.

- High computer literacy, especially in electronic medical records and referral systems, with a knack for technology.
