Permanent PT Practice Nurse

We are a busy general practice located in the Manning Valley seeking a permanent part time practice nurse. This is a key role for someone who knows their way around general practice to work closely with our patients and clinical and administration teams.

This is a permanent part time role for 4 days per week. Practice hours are from 8.30am to 5.00pm.

You will be working in a busy environment with a wonderful supportive team including induction and training. In this role it is expected that you will contribute to enhancing the quality and delivery of health care by providing nursing services in the context of general practice.

You will be remunerated in accordance with your level of experience and expertise.

Selection Criteria:

• To hold current Enrolment with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with endorsement to administer medication
• Ideally you will have a minimum of one year’s experience as a Practice Nurse.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as with patients and families and external providers
• Demonstrated ability to work proactively in a healthcare setting
• Awareness in IPC and WHS
• Understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality
• Demonstrated understanding of teamwork
• Able to demonstrate outstanding organisational and time management skills
• Previous experience with clinical software, preferably Best Practice
• Computer literate and proficient in use of keyboard
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Well presented
