Physiotherapist: Part-time (minimum 1.5 days/week - ideal 2-3 days per week) - week potential to increase to full time as case-load builds

Physiotherapy assistant: Part-time (minimum 5 hours per week)

• No Weekend Work: Unless you want to! We typically only work Monday-Friday- however, you control your schedule so if you preferred to work Saturdays and short weekdays- we could support that as well!

About the Role:

As a Paediatric Physiotherapist at Smilestones Therapy, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional physiotherapy services to children with disabilities and developmental delays. You'll work with a diverse caseload, using a variety of interventions and techniques to help children achieve their full potential. We see kiddos from ages 4 weeks all the way up into adulthood - though most of our clients are under the age of 5. We see a range of conditions all the way from delayed milestones and torticollis - to Cerebral Palsy, Arthrogryposis and Rare Genetic Conditions such as STXBP1, KCNQ2, etc. (Don't freak out - we will support you if you don't feel confident with these conditions!). New Graduates will have a 3-month training program consisting of joint sessions, 1:1 mentoring (internal and external), and weekly tutorials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct physiotherapy assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for children with disabilities and developmental delays.
• Provide hands-on therapy sessions, utilizing interventions such as spider cage, treadmill training, hydrotherapy, Cuevas Medek Exercises, and traditional physiotherapy.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists, to ensure integrated care. We have Speech Pathologists in our offices, and work closely with Occupational Therapists in the area.
• Actively participate in team meetings, contribute to diagnosis formulation, goal setting, and discharge planning.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, supervisors, assistants, and students across various healthcare settings.
• Maintain accurate and concise patient records to facilitate the analysis of service trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Experience in paediatric physiotherapy, particularly with disabilities and developmental delays, is preferred but not necessary.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Must have own Vehicle and Australian Drivers License
• QLD Working with Children Check/Blue Card
