Practice nurse

We are a well-established General Practice located in Aspley and are seeking a Registered Practice Nurse for our 6-day medical practice.

We are supported by 3 general practitioners, visiting specialists, allied health practitioners and administrative staff.

We provide a respectful, positive and friendly work environment. The suitable candidate will need to have excellent communication and administrative skills. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support to patients and doctors.

Availability:

• Wednesday and Fridays 9am - 4pm
• Annual leave cover
• Potential to cover at our Kangaroo Point clinic.

Daily duties will include:

• Childhood and adult immunisations
• Covid vaccinations
• Order and monitor medical supplies and vaccines
• Chronic disease management - care plans, health assessments
• Pre-employment medical evaluations
• Assisting GPs with minor procedures- Implanon removals/insertion, biopsies, etc
• Removal of sutures, wound care, and dressings
• Daily maintenance of the treatment room, stock control, sterilization, and care of medical instruments and equipment
• Management of sample medication supplies
• Assist Practice Manager with relevant accreditation requirements

Essential Requirements are:

• AHPRA Registration
• Working with Children card
• Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize and triage patients
• Experience in Medical Director and Pracsoft is preferred
• Ability to maintain and supervise cold chain management
• Proficient computer and admin skills
• Experience in general practice
• National Police Check or must be willing to provide one.
