Speech Language Pathologist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Pathologist at Forbes, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech pathology services to NDIS participants within the community setting. You will have the opportunity to work closely with clients and their families to assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans to support communication and swallowing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' communication and swallowing abilities.
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Provide therapy services to improve speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other healthcare professionals and caregivers, to ensure holistic care and support for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
- Provide education and support to clients, families, and caregivers regarding communication and swallowing disorders.
- Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
- Full registration with the Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) or eligibility for registration.
- Previous experience working with NDIS participants preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for a range of communication and swallowing disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Current driver's license.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
