I am currently studying for a Master's degree in Public Health after completing a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. I have over 5 years of experience in both clinical and academic settings. I am applying for the Physiotherapist position at this organization. I graduated from Bayero University with a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy and completed a one-year internship to obtain my professional license. I am a member of the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy and hold a license to practice as a physiotherapist in the UK. During my studies, I gained experience in various medical fields such as Orthopedics, Neurology, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Cardiorespiratory care. I also completed clinical rotations at different healthcare centers under the supervision of my professors and clinicians. During my internship, I worked in Orthopedics, Neurology, Pediatrics, Cardiorespiratory care, and Obstetrics & Gynecology units at a specialist hospital in northern Nigeria under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Having been an experienced physiotherapist, I am deeply dedicated to providing patient-centered care and possessing a strong aptitude for leadership and management. After my internship, I worked as a physiotherapist for 4 years. I had different roles during that time. In one role, I worked with different medical conditions in various settings like hospitals and people's homes. I also worked with a team of other healthcare professionals. I gained most of my experience at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, where I focused on assessing and treating muscle and bone problems. For the past 3 years, I have been a senior physiotherapist at Gwarzo general hospital. I have been mostly working with muscle and bone problems, helping patients manage their conditions and improve their mobility. I have good communication and organizational skills. I have experience in dealing with a variety of muscle and bone problems and I am confident in my ability to assess and refer patients for further treatment if needed. I am good at managing my workload and handling pressure.
I have presented research papers on various topics related to muscles, bones, and joints such as the role of physiotherapy in ankle impingement syndrome, an overview of lumbar spinal stenosis, and shoulder impingement syndrome and physiotherapy intervention. As my career has progressed, my roles have transitioned from purely clinical to a mix of clinical and managerial responsibilities, including supervising and training less experienced staff, intern physiotherapists, and undergraduate students. My core values include the ability to work under pressure, providing quality service with timely and accurate diagnoses, and a strong commitment to delivering excellent care to satisfy patients.
