Mental Health in Primary Care course for Medical Doctors

This session has been designed to give primary care workers a good understanding of the most common mental health issues that they will meet in primary care.

By the end of the session you should be able to:

• Describe the signs and symptoms of anxiety and depression
• Use the tools to screen for anxiety and depression
• Understand how to respond when a person presents with symptoms of anxiety and depression
• Explain the services available to people with anxiety and depression and support them to make an appropriate choice
