This unit exposes students to the fit between individuals, tasks and technology, commencing with the healthcare digitisation landscape and concluding with approaches to implementation. The unit will highlight the need for the user to be the continuous focal point during the design of any digital health application and for the design process to be iterative.

Students will also be introduced to common systems deployed in the primary health, community health and acute care services. Lastly, the planning and design phases of healthcare digitisation required to successfully implement a digital health application will be outlined.
