Rural Medical Imaging
Rural Medical Imaging, or RMI as it is also known, is a locally owned and operated Medical Imaging practice. Since establishing itself over 15 years ago, to opening its first practice here in Innisfail in 2010, RMI has rapidly grown to operate three more practices across North QLD in Ingham, Atherton and Mareeba. RMI also provides an Ultrasound only clinic in Tully once a week. Rural Medical Imaging is able to perform a wide variety of general Xray, Ultrasound and CT Scans including contrast enhanced CT’s, Angiography, Bone Mineral Density, Echocardiography and Musculoskeletal scanning.
RMI is committed to providing essential medical imaging services to the rural and remote communities of North QLD. This commitment to the local community was recognised in 2023 when Mark Giffin, the business founder and owner, was awarded an Australia Day award for Innovation and Excellence.

We use GE Multi-Slice CT scanners at all 3 practices which allow us to acquire high detailed, fine sliced images of virtually any part of the body requiring examination.
