Medical Appointments
Please phone the practice for an appointment or book online 24/7 using our easy online booking page. Emergencies will be given priority. Please notify our receptionist if longer consultations are required for multiple issues or procedures, as this may affect billing and time. We do request one hours’ notice to move or cancel your appointment.
Repeat Prescriptions, Referrals and Test Results
It is the policy of the clinic that no referrals, prescriptions or test results may be ordered over the counter at reception. Patients have the option of either making an appointment with a doctor to request these or a request for these may be made using the telehealth or specific prescription/referral request within the online booking options on our website or app. Please be aware that these online services may incur a fee and you will need to allow up to 5 working days for request to be processed. Test results, or information regarding test results, cannot be given out over the phone.
Zero Tolerance
This medical practice has a Zero Tolerance for abusive or threatening behaviour directed against staff or patients. This includes shouting, swearing, threats, name calling, racist comments and inappropriate gestures. Without exception, abusers will be required to leave the clinic immediately and transfer their medical care to another practice. Refusal to leave will result in the police being called.
Telephone Calls/Telehealth Consultations.
To facilitate continuity of care, a doctor may need to contact patients via telephone or electronic means to discuss their medical care when an in person physical consultation is not considered clinically necessary. Patients may also book telehealth consultations with their doctor of choice, however may still be required to attend the practice in person if the doctor deems it clinically necessary.
Fees and Billing Arrangements for Medical Care.
All fees are payable at the time of consultation. Our fee structure is displayed in the reception area.
Next of Kin / Emergency Contact
Have you advised us of your next of kin or emergency contact details? Please give these details to the receptionist at your next visit.
Home Visits
Home visits are made either for urgent problems, after-hours, or if the patient is unable to get to the clinic because of his or her condition, as long they reside within a reasonable distance, being a 5km radius. Home visits can be requested by telephoning the clinic and speaking with either the nurse on duty or the receptionist. Please ring between 8am and 11am if possible.
Care outside of opening hours
In the case of an emergency please ring 000. If you require urgent medical attention after hours, please contact your nearest casualty department. Outside of our operating hours, home visits can be provided for an out of pocket expense by one of our GPs.

Family Doctor Medical Centres are Australia’s premier provider of quality medical care. Now, you can have the same quality medical care from your own home after hours. Our after hours doctors are available for phone and video consultations via our Telehealth platform. Telehealth is available for all patients (including new patients) from anywhere in Australia. Any device may be used by patients to make the call, including smart phones, tablets, iPads, laptops and desktop computers.

All calls are answered by Australian registered, Family Doctor general practitioners and are available for any patients who require medical care during the after hours period. The after hours periods are 6 pm each weeknight, to 8 am the following morning, and all day/night Saturdays, Sundays and all Public Holidays. The video telehealth platform means the after hours doctors can visualise your symptoms and can give advice accordingly, all from the comfort of your own home.
