The opportunity at a glance:

o Clinical or Registered Psychologist

o Starting with two days a week looking to extend to three days in the future

o $63.29 per hour, exclusive of superannuation or $46,075.12 per annum, exclusive of superannuation

Who we are?

Origin Psychology is a trauma- informed psychology practice which uses an integrative approach to treat adult clients 18+ who present with a range of mental health concerns. We treat both every day well-adjusted people with mental health concerns but also work with people with complex presentations and co-morbidities and we have a keen appreciation for the fact that regardless of the presentation almost everyone has some form of untreated underlying trauma.

What we offer?

We are a steadily growing practice and are looking at growing our team by one member at this time so that they can be nurtured into the role. We provide a safe, calm and well-balanced work environment that is designed to help you to be the best therapist you can be to our dedicated and motivated client base.

What we ask?

o That you see 5 clients a day in blocks of time that suit you

o That your 6th session each day is blocked out for daily emergency clients/admin

o That you participate in active diary management and manage your own clients based on your treatment plan for them

o That you use measurement-based software to measure: assessment, treatment and outcomes phases of therapy and reassess and modify treatment plans as necessary

o Collaborate appropriately on measurement-based care with referring GPs to ensure coordinated and holistic care which includes written/telephonic reporting

o Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards

o Participate in external clinical supervision, staff meetings, monthly supervision meetings and CPD to ensure quality of care

Who you are?

o Australian citizen or have permanent residency

o AHPRA registered clinical psychologist /psychologist

o Eligible to get a Medicare Provider Number

o Willingness to work with a range of mental health presentations including complex presentations

o Knowledge of evidenced-based treatment modalities and trauma-informed principles of care and treatment

o Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and treatment planning skills

o Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills

o Commitment to maintaining ethical standards, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions

o Current Working with Vulnerable People’s Card

o Prepared to evidence ongoing CPD

o Current professional indemnity insurance in place

o Evidence a current national police check
