Practice Manager

Over the years, their unique and thorough approach to drug and alcohol treatment has helped more than 14,000 individuals and their families break free from the vicious grip of addiction.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Fresh Start is seeking a Practice Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure efficiency across all departments while maintaining adherence to health department standards. This position reports directly to the CEO and Medical Director.

The key responsibilities are:

• Problem-Solving: Address challenging patient situations daily, collaborating with staff to resolve issues effectively.
• Consultation: Regularly engage with medical professionals regarding patients with complex needs.
• Communication: Ensure ongoing communication with the Northam and York St Lodge managers.
• Documentation: Ensure research procedures comply with accurate data collection and reporting standards.
• Compliance: Monitor clinic operations to ensure compliance with all relevant standards (e.g. WHS regulations).

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties. You will be expected to perform different tasks as required to meet the organisation’s overall objectives.

ABOUT YOU:

Ideal Skills

Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in medical practice management or any other relevant qualifications.
• 5+ years of experience managing an accredited facility (RACGP).
• Proficiency in medical software applications - Best Practice or Medical Director.
• Deep understanding of Medicare and Bulk Billing procedures.
• Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) experience.
• Willingness to Support Fresh Starts Christian approach and programs.
• Membership with the Australian Association of Practise Management (AAPM).

Ability to:

• Show passion for helping others and profound empathy.
• Handle high-pressure situations calmly, especially when dealing with difficult patients and urgent matters.
• Think on your feet – the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Portray positive behaviours, emotional maturity, positive coping skills and resilience.
